The “spine tree” sculpture was created in 2014 from a dying 150 year old ash tree by a very talented local artist Jeff M. Taylor. It took 12 days and 4 different size chainsaws to create this masterpiece. The tree trunk stands over 20 feet tall and the spine itself measures 13 feet. Not only is it a spectacular piece of art, but it is anatomically accurate as well. The spine has the correct number of vertebrae and each segment has its proper proportion and shape. Even if you are not interested in chiropractic, coming by to view the “spine tree” is worth the visit.
